Reena Shareen D’souza a humble natured lady, soft spoken with harmonious voice & smiling face, is the eldest daughter among 3 girls blessed to Mr. Robert and Mrs. Violet D’souza. Being the eldest sister in the musical family, was a source of inspiration and a role model to her siblings. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Bejai and is currently associated with St. Sebastian Church – Bendoor, upon wedlock with Mahesh Lanston Lobo.  She is a firm believer in GOD and has devoted a lot of her time and energy right from childhood towards church activities.

A God fearing child with strong family bonding, after her initial schooling at St. Ann’s Mangalore, she attained Bachelor’s Honour from St. Aloysius College in Mangalore in Business Management stream – specializing in Financial Management.  She was awarded the Principal’s roll of honour for curriculum activities. Her knowledge from this degree is being wisely used by Towell Engineering (group company of W J Towell & Co. LLC – a market leader in the region), holding the post of Sr. Officer – Payroll since 7 years.  She joined Mahesh Lanston her soulmate in the year 2005.  A perfect match for Reena… Mahesh who hardly speaks, is a person who loves to listen to her sweet voice always.

During her educational days, Reena pursued her hobbies of singing, dancing and cooking.  She has participated in several cultural events and has been duly awarded for her brilliant performances. Reena was active member of Bejai church choir and during this time participated in many inter parish competitions organized by the Konkani Natak Sabha, and won awards for her performances.  In the past 4 years, Reena has been actively participating in the events & competitions organized by MCCP and has been winning the contests.

Reena for her melodious voice is prevalently known as the nightingale of the Mangalorean Community. She is the recipient of the middle-east optimum coveted title Gulf Voice Of Mangalore- season 3 – Winner, in the female category which was held at Qatar in October 2012, proving her versatility in this field.  Recently, She had the privilege of performing at ‘KUDLA UTSAVA’ on an inter-community variety entertainment stage promoted by ‘KUDLA FRIENDS’ that was witnessed by the renowned actor and music director of South India Sri Gurukiran who was with all praises for her scintillating rendition.  She has also rendered her voice for Konkani albums which has acclaimed popularity back home and in the international market.

Reena gives 100% credit to Mahesh Lanston, who has been a support throughout her musical journey in Muscat, including her achievement of the optimum coveted title in the field of Music on an international platform.  She says, I owe to the Community MCCP who has brought me the recognition in this part of the world and placed me in the array of professional artists.  I assure of my whole hearted contribution through my talents, whereby I can share and groom the new talents who are clouded and behind the screens, thereby the bequest of MCCP’S popularity continues globally.

Reena Shareen D’souza a Domina Toastmaster has served the MCCP Executive Committee as Spiritual Secretary in the year 2010-2011. This year, her aim as a Cultural Secretary this is to strive and motivate the new talents to live their dreams and also discharge her duties to the utmost satisfaction of MCCP.
