Born on 16th January 1977 to elated parents Mrs. Magadalene Furtado and late Mr. Elias Pinto, Alwin Pinto is the sixth child in his family, having seven other siblings. Having inculcated the values of being a devotional and virtuous person from his parents, he intends to pass this on to his children and the future generations along with his partner Mrs. Sujatha Pinto who has been in his life since 19th January 2010.

Alwin has always had keen interests in extra-curricular activities such as music, singing, acting, reading novels and literature. He has participated in several competitions representing his college in various fields- Acting, Essay writing, Debates, and Elocutions.  In addition to academics, he has been the recipient of awards in many inter collegiate competitions. The fruits of all his hard work has resulted in him receiving the best student award for 2 consecutive years at Sacred Heart College – Madyanthar.  A commendable Stage Artist, especially as a comedian has gained him the popularity amongst the community.

Alwin has graduated as a B.A. in English Literature from Mysore University and simultaneously accomplished his M.Ph Bachelor Degree in Indian and Western Philosophy.

After gaining a few years of experience as a Process Executive at Omega Health Care Centre B.P.O in Bangalore, he has taken up an assignment as an Office Coordinator at Kalhat Services & Trading LLC in Sultanate of Oman since 2008.

“It has been my utmost conviction that Life means developing mutual trust among all your near and dear ones.  On the basis of these values, experience and a desire to contribute to my community, I have taken up the challenge to accept the position of Community Services Secretary at MCCP.  I will strive to identify, innovate and develop opportunities to ensure all community members get to explore their full potential.  I will pave way to grow and maintain healthy relationships between the members to the best of my abilities. I will also develop systems that will encourage the younger generation and more people to become part of our community, which in turn will give opportunities to every member of MCCP to actively participate and contribute their talents & resources in all events to build a stronger community.”
