Fredrick, lovingly known as Freddy, is a tall jovial, disciplined and a humble man of God, hailing from Balkunje Parish. He is the youngest son of late Mr. Camil Castelino and Mrs. Rita Castelino. He belongs to a religious family, the brother of Sr. Hilarita, BS & Sr. Sybil, BS and the brother-in-law of Fr. Henry Sequeira, Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese and Fr. Alwyn Sequeira O.C.D.   Thus, Freddy is an active member of Ruwi Parish and is involved in various spiritual activities. He is a dedicated Eucharistic Minister, Secretary of the Techno Ministry, a member of the Legion of Mary and Konkani prayer group.   His friends most of the time make fun saying ‘Ardho padri’!.  Freddy attends mass daily with his family. For him, “A day without mass is a day without power”. He is looking forward to see his children serving in God’s vineyard.

He is employed as HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Manager of N.E.C. To his credit, he has received a number of awards from PDO over successful achievements of LTI free work environment over a period of 20 years.  Very pious in nature, has inculcated the same quality in his family.  Fun loving person, he ensures to be a reason of smile and happiness of the people in despair or less fortunate, through his instant jokes or extending his helping hand.  There is never a ‘NO’ from Freddy when approached by anybody for any help.  He takes extra efforts to make things happen that is demanded of him.

Though was not an active member in MCCP all these years, he felt the need to contribute his talents and spiritual experience to deep root the spirituality and community service urge in the youth that is essential for their growth in building a vibrant and meaningful future drawing them closer to God, by enjoying  the fruits of catholic faith.

Freddy shares “MCCP as much is strong in Co-scholastics, is proud to say, it is strong in practicing faith through spiritual programs, and I am happy to be a part of this year’s team… especially as we work together in framing the stronger youth for our FUTURE.”
