Mrs. Clita Crasta a well known lady in the catholic community of Oman, hails from Bejai, Mangalore, born on 4th Dec, as the 6th child of Mr Domingo and Mrs Emiliana Rodrigues.

Her Education initially was in Mangalore and migrated to Tumkur to further with education and possessed University Degree. Though she underwent Secretarial Practice Diploma as an added competency, her destiny of service to the sick kindled her mind and soul, thus pursued Training in ‘Nursing’. Served for Jeslock Hospital for few years.

She found her soul mate Alex, whilst working in Mumbai, an old friend of childhood; and entered into matrimony in 1983. In 1990, moved to Oman with her family and since then this country has become her home. Her husband Alex a well known person in th community, is from Nejar, Kallianpur, Son of Late Monthu Crasta, a school Teacher and Maximme Crasta. Blessed with two children Malcolm and Melanie, very talented as the mother. Malcom is working in private sector, whilst Melanie is pursing her education in Journalism.

Clita very active, creative and talented has won many awards as a child and youth in co-scholastics. The saga continued at Oman too. She is the first Mangalorean lady to achieve the prestigious Distinguished Toast Master Award in all of Oman. She also is the founder of the First Ladies club – ‘Domina’ hosted by MCCP, and the President of Distinguished Speakers Toastmaster Club (DSTM) in Oman. A unique quality in Clita is to present any given situation in a very attractive and apt manner with personal touch, bringing in innovativeness that reaches the audience and people in an effective manner. By nature, she is very emotional and sensitive… yet strong like a rock to shoulder the responsibilities that come her way and execute with perfection.

Being a Parish Council Member in the past, a Catechism teacher, a Marriage Facilitator, and having herself worked in the MCCP committee as a Vice President and cultural Secretary for four years, a top notch in the committee organizing Parish Summer Camps, she now encourages the participation of all Mangloreans in MCCP and is very eager to serve them as part of the committee once again. A perfect mentor and guide for all age group, is a boon to the community; whose selfless service is well appreciated.

Her only ambition is to strengthen the youth our future of the community, and does not hesitate to walk that extra mile to mould them into strong future pillars of the community making them realize the importance of tradition and culture of Motherland. All her talents and expertise is targeted for this year’s youth growth. She urges the entire Community to come together and make this happen.
