John Gonsalves is a simple, soft spoken individual yet brilliant with remarkable organizing capabilities and innovative leadership qualities. He believes in ‘Attitude determines Magnitude’.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Back home, he was an active participant in various activities in church, colleges and in social circles, taking prominent roles in associations such as CYM, St Peter’s Association (Mumbai) and other organizations. He has great love and respect towards Konkani culture, tradition, language and music. He has acted in several Konkani dramas, also has written some of them.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Highly regarded as a talented and wise leader of the Mangalorean community in Muscat, John was the President of the Mangalorean Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Church, Ghala for the years 2011-2013 and was also the member of the Parish Council. A member of MCCP since its inception, John was in the Executive committee as a Honorary Treasurer for the year 2013-14, and also was an executive member of the steering committee for; organizing the Gulf Voice of Mangalore held in Muscat, in 2014.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Born to Monthu &.Theresa Gonsalves, he was brought up with strong family values, along with his five brothers. He is married to Joyce, his lady love from the same neighbourhood, who has been a great supporter in his endeavours throughout. They are blessed with two talented children, Joylin and Jeston who are his pride and inspiration.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

He graduated from Milagres college, Kallianpur, and later moved to Mumbai for further studies and career. While working in Mumbai, he also obtained a Diploma in Administrative Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He then set out on a journey to Muscat in 1989 and since then has been working for the Shanfari Group of Companies. He currently holds the position of Senior Finance Head.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

MCCP is very dear to him and he always enjoyed being associated with it. “It is a great honour for me to take the leadership of MCCP as it is a great organization for Mangalorean Catholics in Muscat”, he says. He would like to see as many Mangaloreans as possible come together on the MCCP platform to showcase their talents, to teach their children the traditions of our native place and in the process build a stronger community.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
