Valentina the first daughter of popularly known as Valerian B. K. Dias, Advocate,  and Christina Dias, from the famous town Chickmagalur known as cradle of coffee in Western Ghats. Brought up in Chickmagalur belonging to St. Joseph’s Cathedral Chickmagalur Diocese, ancestral roots being Byndoor, has made her a ‘MANGY’.

As God fearing parent, her father encouraged all 5 children (2boys and 3 girls) to practice law.  Brought up with good moral & spiritual values, Valentina is a very kind person and always ready to help as this quality was inculcated by her parents with a feeling ‘service starts at home’. Though lived in a Hindu oriented place and ‘Kannada’ as the local dialect including Church services, parents impressed to maintain the rich culture and heritage of Konkani in their children, thus Valentina is drawn very close to MCCP which comforts her with very own Mangalorean living.  Being service minded person, was an active member of international clubs such as Rotaract club, Lions club and served in different coveted positions. To demonstrate and prove the leadership qualities, she served as a Youth congress vice president of Chickmagalur from 1996 to 1998.

Valentina an Advocate by Profession practiced Law with her Father. She is married to Stephen belonging to a typical Mangalorean family of Holy Cross Church Byndoor in Kundapur Varado, now settled down in Christ The King Church Rasyani Panvel, Navi Mumbai. Valentina Moved to Oman in 2008 to join the family.  However, she is very happy and contented in returning to the ancestral roots.

Active and a vibrant personality, though outlook seems reserved, she is basically a fun loving and jovial person with strong leadership qualities. Spiritually strong and active at various Parish communities during her young age, she was the animator of her zone.  Valentina is fond of sports being an active player of hockey, Lawn Tennis, Basket Ball, Indoor shuttle and throw ball in her school and college. Participated in various events at University Level, and have won numerous prizes.

MCCP this year is to carve the name globally and bring the awareness of our rich culture and heritage instilling in the minds of young generation ‘East or West – Mangalore is the Best’, Valentina dreams of nurturing the youth of today, into leaders of tomorrow, that is lacking in our community today, by utilizing the every opportunity that comes her way in guiding and grooming the younger generation of MCCP.
