 Mrs. Sonia Martis hails from Bondel, Mangalore,is second child of Mr.Frank D’souza &Mrs.Delphine Rodrigues. She has completed her Bachelors in Business Management. Married in 1999, is a mother of two adorable children, Vanessa and Vivian. Sonia loves spending time with her family.

 Sonia moved to Oman along with her family in 2005 and is currently employed as a Chief Accountant with National Food Products and Trading Co.LLC. Back in Mangalore, during her college days, she was an active student in organizing various cultural activities for her college. Her urge to serve the community utilizing her talents to her entire capacity, impressed her to take up the post of General Secretary this year, so as to contribute her bit towards the betterment and development of the Mangalorean community in Muscat.

 By nature, she does not like have the work pending on her table, a quality that is required for a GS. Pro-active by nature, thinks ahead, planning well for a perfect execution of any event or activity; ever smiling nature and soft spoken-ness; is also an easily approachable person. She is a think tank that never dries… and always wants to prove unique setting herself apart from normal or common professionals of her calibre.

 She believes that “our responsibility towards our community lies in helping the growth of our youth. Since youth development is a combination of all the people, places, supports, opportunities and services that most inherently understand that young people need to be happy, healthy and successful. Youth Development currently exists in a variety of places, forms and under all sorts of different names”. This novice thought of contributing for the youth development on a platform called MCCP Muscat, with the inspirational and supportive team members, has been the motivation of her selfless service to the community.
