President : Dilip David Correa

dilip_correaDilip David Correa, born to David & Eliza Correa of ‘Our Lady Fatima, Church, Pernal, Udupi Diocese, is a born leader and from his childhood he has taken over many organizations and was at the helm affairs of all such organizations.

He has served as the Prefect of Altar Servers in Std 4 and has continued his service as Altar Servers till 12th standard in Pernal Parish. He was the president of ICYM, Pernal for three years. During his college days he was appointed as the President of NSS unit, led AICUF and was an active member of College Union council. He was the Shirva Varado secretary during 2002-2003.He served as President of Dubai based ‘Famad Pernal’ organization during 2003-2004. He was a Cultural Co-coordinator, MCCP Oman, 2006-2007 and Main Co-coordinator, MCCP Oman, 2007-2008.

Dilip Correa, married to Sandra Correa is a capable leader with a multi talented personality. The couple is blessed with 4 children Ralitsa, Reia, Rochelle & Derrick Correa.  His hobbies include reading, writing, singing, acting and public speaking. He has acted in more than 150 dramas & skits. He has many awards to his credit: Best Speaker Award, Runner Up, Mangalore University(1990-1991), Best Poem in Kannada Chosen to publish in a book Published from Mysuru (1991-1992), Best University level Extempore Speech (1992-1993), Best Essay writing Competition University level, Winner (1992-1993), Many Awards in singing competitions during1990-1993, Two times semifinalists in Gulf Voice Of Mangalore, Oman.

He is the member of ABC Toastmasters in Oman since 2008 and held many positions during his tenure such as VP Public Relations, Area Secretary, Division Secretary , VP Membership, Charter member of ABC Toastmasters, Oman since 2008 till date. He is a Konkani activist and a strong promoter of Konkani.

Dilip has high regards to MCCP and he says “It’s an honor to become the 25 th President of MCCP, a premium Konkani organization in the Gulf. I feel heading such a prestigious organization is indeed a dream come true. We have planned 25 programs this year to mark the silver jubilee celebrations. I am really humbled by the support and kind gesture of our people. My vision is to make this year a memorable one to the entire Konkani community residing in Oman”.
